Ingredients
Each tablet contains senna (Cassia angustifolia) leaf 240 mg, cascara sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) bark 150 mg, licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root 30 mg, juniper (Juniperus communis) berry 8 mg, rhubarb (Rheum palmatum) root 8 mg, gentian (Gentiana lutea) root 8 mg and buchu (Barosma betulina) leaf extract 4:1, 1 mg (equivalent to 4 mg dried herb). Non-medicinal ingredients: corn starch, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, oil of peppermint, hyprolose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose and glycerin.
Directions
Adults: Take 2 tablets daily at bedtime. Promotes a bowel movement within 6 to 12 hours. Do not use for more than one week unless advised by a health care practitioner.
Warnings
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have impaired kidney or liver function, high blood pressure or heart disease; if you take heart medication, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other drugs that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you are a male with decreased libido; or if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, hemorrhoids, symptoms of appendicitis or inflamed bowel, or a chronic gastrointestinal disorder. Overuse or extended use may cause dependence. Do not take within two hours of medication. Consult a health care practitioner before use if you have diabetes or hypokalemia, or take hormonal therapies, diuretics, potassium-depleting agents or MAO inhibitors. Stop use if hypersensitivity occurs. Reduce the dose or stop use if abdominal cramps, spasms or pain occur. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
