Ingredients

Each tablet contains senna leaf (Cassia angustifolia) 240 mg, cascara sagrada bark (Rhamnus purshiana) 150 mg, licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 30 mg, juniper berries (Juniperus communis) 8 mg, rhubarb root (Rheum palmatum) 8 mg, gentian root (Gentiana lutea) 8 mg and buchu leaf extract (Barosma betulina) 4:1, 1 mg. Non-medicinal ingredients: silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, peppermint flavour, glycerin and cellulose.

Directions

Adults: Take 2 tablets at bedtime. A bowel movement generally occurs within 6 to 12 hours. Do not use for more than 1 week unless directed by a health care practitioner.

Warnings

Consult a health care practitioner before use if you have diabetes or hypokalemia, or take hormonal therapies, diuretics, potassium-depleting agents or MAO inhibitors. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding; if you have impaired kidney or liver function, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic gastrointestinal disease, abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, hemorrhoids or symptoms of appendicitis or inflamed bowel; or if you take heart medication, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other products that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine. Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. Discontinue use if hypersensitivity occurs. Reduce the dose or discontinue use if abdominal cramps, spasms or pain occur. Keep out of reach of children.
