Ingredients

Each vegetable capsule contains psyllium (Plantago ovata) husk 405.36 mg, roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) flower 80.98 mg, inulin from chicory root (Cichorium intybus) 42.92 mg, clove (Syzygium aromaticum) flower bud 10.12 mg and licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root 10.12 mg. Other ingredients: stevia leaf extract and vegetable magnesium stearate in a non-GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.

Directions

Adults 19 years and older: Take 3–9 capsules three times daily, or as directed by a health care practitioner. For each gram of psyllium, take with 30 mL of liquid such as water, milk or fruit juice. Drink immediately and maintain adequate fluid intake. Take this product two hours before or after other medications. Effects may be observed within 12–24 hours but can take two to three days. Avoid long-term use and consult a health care practitioner for use beyond six weeks.

Warnings

Take with at least a full glass of liquid; taking psyllium without enough liquid may cause choking. Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen, a laxative effect does not occur within seven days, or chest pain, vomiting, difficulty swallowing or difficulty breathing occurs. Consult before use if you take prescription medication, acetaminophen, anticoagulants or medicines that inhibit intestinal movement, or if you have liver or gastrointestinal concerns. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding or with the contraindicated conditions listed on the current Canadian label. Hypersensitivity, temporary gas or bloating may occur; discontinue use and seek advice if an allergic reaction occurs.
