AOR Red Yeast Rice uses rice fermented with Monascus purpureus. Each capsule provides 110 mg extract standardized to 3% monascin and 1% ankaflavin, providing antioxidants. AOR states that its patented Ankascin 568-R process removes citrinin and ensures the product contains no monacolin K.
Medicinal ingredient
Each capsule: Monascus purpureus-fermented Oryza sativa extract 110 mg, standardized to 3% monascin and 1% ankaflavin.
Non-medicinal ingredients
Corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, sodium copper chlorophyllin and sodium stearyl fumarate. Allergen: contains corn. Formulas can change; check the physical label.
Directions
Adults 19+: Take 1–2 capsules daily, or as directed by a qualified health-care practitioner. Swallow whole; do not crush, blend or mix because the medicinal ingredient is light-sensitive. Do not exceed the daily dose unless instructed. Consult before use beyond 8 weeks.
Warnings
- Do not use if pregnant or planning pregnancy.
- Consult before use if breastfeeding; taking medication, especially cyclosporine, blood thinners, lipid-lowering, blood-pressure or diabetes medicines; if you have liver or kidney disease; or have received an organ transplant.
- Stop use and consult if muscle pain, tenderness and/or weakness occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is broken.
